The FOODCoST Community of Practice: External experts’ view

FOODCoST is based on a multi-actor approach that ensures a continuous dialogue with all relevant actors across the whole food system (land and sea). A Community of Practice (CoP) is an expert platform created within FOODCoST to discuss the results, co-create the project outcomes and debate on the feasibility, implications, and next steps for developing and implementing a harmonized EU approach for assessing and internalizing externalities of food.

The FOODCoST Impact Pillar

The IMPACT section of the FOODCoST project focuses on assessing the welfare and sustainability impacts of combining effective policy measures and business strategies for the internalization of food system externalities. FOODCoST employs a participatory approach, viewing all stakeholders as key actors. The emphasis lies on fostering collaboration and sustainability throughout the entire food system.

3rd MML workshop – “Public policies that internalise externalities of the food market”

On the 18th of October 2023, the third Mobilisation and Mutual Learning (MML) took place online. With the title “Public policies that internalise externalities of the food market” and conducted by Dr. Céline Bonnet from INRAE, this workshop was a valuable activity to gather and discuss new solutions for public policies and policy instruments.
