First meeting of the FOODCoST CoP

The 1st meeting of the FOODCoST Community of Practice (CoP), established in order to discuss the project’s results and aid in the creation of its outcomes, will take place in Bratislava on 25 May 2023.

The CoP will share their own perspectives on the objectives of FOODCoST, their knowledge of True Cost Accounting for Food (TCAF) and help define a new pathway for sustainable food systems.

This meeting will mainly be dedicated to the following subjects:

• Kick-off of the CoP activities;
• Discussion of the valuation of externalities and pathways to internalise externalities;
• Exploration of the project’s use cases;
• Other topics covered by the project.

In order to achieve its goals and provide different perspectives on the objectives of the FOODCoST project, the CoP will comprise various members from different key stakeholders, among categories such as farmers and fishermen, food business operators, financial institutions, civil society, policy makers and media.
