8th MML: Exploring Future Pathways to Internalize Food System Externalities with the FOODCoST Visualizer Tool | Online

The FOODCoST project invites stakeholders across the food value chain, policy, research, and civil society to participate in its 8th Mobilization and Mutual Learning (MML) Workshop, taking place online on 10 June 2025, from 14:30 to 16:00 CEST.

This workshop will provide a collaborative space to review and validate four future scenarios for the internalisation of food system externalities in Europe by 2050. These scenarios, developed through a participatory process, reflect diverse policy strategies and supply chain targets—ranging from regulatory approaches to market-driven initiatives.

Participants will also contribute to the co-creation of the FOODCoST Visualizer Tool, an interactive platform designed to support policy dialogue and decision-making. The tool will visually map the scenarios and their projected impacts on sustainability, equity, and welfare across the food system.

What to Expect:

  • Presentation of four future scenarios developed within the FOODCoST project;
  • In-depth discussion on potential policy instruments and actor roles;
  • Interactive session to contribute ideas and feedback for the Visualizer Tool;
  • A unique opportunity to ensure that scientific outcomes remain practical, inclusive, and policy-relevant.

Why Participate?

Stakeholder input is essential to ensuring that FOODCoST outcomes address real-world challenges and priorities. By joining the workshop, you will:

  • Play a direct role in shaping future food system pathways;
  • Contribute to the refinement of tools that inform evidence-based policy;
  • Engage with a European network of experts, practitioners, and decision-makers;
